The Family Vestibule
The Family Vestibule is the area which ties the garage and side entries to the Kitchen and Great Room. It includes a laundry room, mudroom and powder room and is a constant hub of activity. This is an area designed to sustain a healthy living environment for the active modern family without sacrificing a luxurious lifestyle. We have achieved these qualities by exceeding the expectations on products incorporated into the space. In addition to using appropriate materials and finishes on new products, we will integrate salvage and repurposed pieces to minimize our environmental impact. It became our personal achievement to take a closer look at the manufacturing processes that create these unique products. We want to acknowledge corporations that consider every opportunity in being green inside and out. Discovering the details is what makes our story a success in achieving an eco-friendly home.
Miriam Dillon is an interior architect and Senior Designer who heads the interior design practice for Custom Design Concepts Architecture + Interiors, a full service architectural and interiors firm located in McLean, Virginia.
