A Peaceful Retreat: Guest Suite
This peaceful private retreat incorporates style with an environmentally friendly flair. The use of warm inviting yellow tones with highlights of soft blue-green brings forth a calming effect. The beautifully crafted and designed furniture comes from sustainable harvested woods. Along with the furniture, this room’s design uses fabrics that come from renewable resources such as cotton and linen which have been dyed through an eco-friendly process. A great example of style meeting natural materials, the soothing color palette along with exquisitely designed furniture and fabrics adds textural interest and beauty to the space. From the banana leaf silk area rug to the paint used on the walls, this innovative design captures the essence of warmth and serenity.
The adjoining bathroom was created using artisan-crafted iridescent mosaic glass tiles that combine warm yellows and tints of green, creating a soft palette that is relaxing and airy. Along with beautifully recycled glass ranging from 100% to 20% recycled material, the creative patterns bring visual interest and high style to the space. The vanity delivers clean tailored lines and surprising elements that bring nature indoors.
Given this unique opportunity, it was essential to create spaces that are not only aesthetically pleasing but also earth conscious. It is a fascinating adventure to remind others of the importance of conserving the valuable resource that we often take for granted. Combining great design keeping in mind both the people we love and the environment which needs our love is a journey we look forward to taking.
